I’d rather have the Accord, Altezza and Skyline badging on these cars rather than their americanized rebadges. This goes for every car that does this. I just like the original badging better. Espeically since Japanese luxury cars in my area are blacked out and slammed with fake LED strips from a flea market. I feel like they don’t know anything about cars. I feel like putting the original badging indicates you know SOMETHING. And it just looks better imo.
I feel like this isn’t a popular opinion because JDM BR0
These are the worst looking Miatas. The newest one and the first gen where the best and only ones I like.
I feel this is unpopular because Oppo
this looks better than the hatch by far, but It’s probably the only one i’d choose sedan over hatch. Mazdaspeed 3 sedan plz
This is unpopular because im losing storage space or something.
Lexus new design language is amazing. Mercedes, BMW, Acura, Infiniti are all so... conservative. Lexus seems like the type to go jump on the conference table, rip off it’s shirt and start dancing to pitbull. It has character, which tbh, LEXUS NEEDED. They looked more conservative than the rest before now.
This is unpopular because dank predator face memes.
Not sure how popular or unpopular this is. BUT THE CAMRY IS NOT A BAD CAR.
People often act like it’s the bane of everything. It is every car guys cancer. It’s the worst thing ever.
It’s the perfect car for non-car people. Old people love it! It’s a great first car, because your kid won’t die and it sounds faster than it is! It’s roomy as hell! My hybrid got 0-60 in 7.8 seconds! It’s anonymous! Toyota won’t make it drive itself, so it’s still technically a car for drivers! It’s the most American thing ever!
now for some assorted pictures for your time off my hard drive:

I agree with everything you’ve said, except I’m a fan of the NC Miata and I’d rather have a Lexus-badged Altezza.

An Altezza by any other name would smell as sweet, weeaboo

You’re right, the Camry is NOT a bad car, just a boring one... The issue most people have is thet they have been in a 2010-13 rental Corolla (which is HORRIBLE) and asume the Camry has the same terrible (and easily avoidable) faults. I firmly beleive that at the time of it’s release the 2012 Corolla was the worst car you could buy new in America (ignoring reliability, which it still posessed and some of it’s much “better” competition did not have as much of...)

I’m only a weaboo when it comes to cars. Thankfully... I guess?

I learned the purpose of the side blades like this recently. They’re for air control to retrain the exhaust upward away from the cab. Also, this is a true “tank engine”, and appears to be... Whyte 0-6-2 or some similarly wacky wheel pattern? Anyway, TRAINS TRAINS TRAINS TRAINS.

I don’t understand why the name a car has in another market has any relevance in a different market.

Some people literally want to show off the JDM. Some people just like the original’s badging better. Some cars in different markets have different grilles, Look at the last gen TSX vs the European Honda Accord. Acura’s corporate grille is deleted from the European Accord, which imo is a good thing because I don’t like Acura’s corporate grille. Some people even find Acura, Lexus and Infinti “rip-offs” or they are trying to hide what they really are.
I am really intrigued by the same cars sold as different names in other markets for some reason. I have wasted so many hours on Wikipedia on it. Even in Canada we have some differences than the US. The Buick LaCrosse is called the “Allure” in Canada, because LaCrosse means masturbate in french. It’s called LaCrosse now, though.

I guess I am having a GET OFF MY LAWN moment. To each his own. I could care less about what they call cars in other markets unless it is like your LaCrosse example. Those are always good for a laugh.

Re the predator grille: There is a middle ground between meh and ridiculous.

I find it hilarous Buick just gave up calling it the Allure after the first gen. Now all those people in Quebec can drive their masturbates freely.

The more ridiculous the better, I say. That’s just my personality.

That colour significantly improves it though. Good taste in colour!

For this US knucklehead, please, what (and where) is an Altezza?
As for the Camry, it’s my new Taurus. I used to rent a lot of cars - still do 3 times a year. The Taurus in the 90s and first half of the 00s. Perfect size, predictable, no surprises. Same thing with the Camry today. Now there’s something called Relay Rides, where normal people rent you their cars. There’s an S2000 in there, a couple Rangies, and of course Camrys. And the big Volvo - I like that car.

I’ll back you up on brand names, but you are on your own for the rest of it. NB and ND Miatas look the best.

Thanks. It's the first time in a long time I have been smitten with my vehicle.

It’s the IS250-IS350 I think...

First Gen Lexus IS.Toyota Altezza.
The AS200 and AS300 Altezzas are exactly the same as Lexus IS200 and IS300 apart from US safety stuff and so on.

To each their own. They aren’t the worst loooking cars, I just think the first and newest Miatas are the best looking
